Small-Site Audit is an AI-powered service run by a UK sole trader. The audits are generated by AI and checked by software, not written or reviewed by a person. This page says who is responsible for the service, how the AI is used, and where its limits are.
Who is responsible

How the AI is used
Our own crawler reads your public pages; a fixed checklist finds candidate issues
Anthropic's Claude chooses the three that matter most and writes each fix with exact wording
Software then checks every fix against the crawl; fixes that fail are discarded
Your data is not used to train AI models
No person reviews your audit before you receive it
The AI does not see your analytics or accounts unless you upload a file

Approach
How we think about small-site SEO — six things that shape every audit.
Enquiries are the point, not rankings.
Ranking without an enquiry is not a business outcome. Every ticket ends with the change that lets a searcher become a customer, not with the change that moves a position.
Small sites don't need big strategies.
A five-page site doesn't need a twelve-month roadmap. It needs the two or three changes that matter most, written so they can be made this week.
The exact wording is the deliverable.
A recommendation without the words is a research paper. A recommendation with the words is a change a small business can ship this week.
Don't rewrite what's working.
If a page is earning impressions on a query, the change is usually additive — a better title, more evidence, clearer CTA — not a rewrite. Rewriting a ranking page is one of the most common ways SEO advice destroys value.
Every claim carries a source.
Google's own documentation where possible; named independent research where not; owner's stated goal where the answer is a judgement about their business. We do not use unsourced folklore.
No SEO tricks. Ever.
No hidden text, no AI-manipulation content, no page-per-fan-out-query, no bought links dressed up as PR, no fake reviews. Every one of these has a real cost to the business that adopts it, sooner or later.
Why we don't pretend there's an expert behind every audit
Plenty of low-cost SEO services put a stock-photo "consultant" on an automated report. We don't. The audit is written by AI, and we tell you so on every page and on the report itself. The reasons to trust it are ones you can check: the published method, the sample audit, the automatic fact-checks, and a full refund if it can't find three fixes worth making.
