AI SEO service · technical checks · data

How our AI SEO service works: the technical SEO audit, in full.

Every audit is the same shape: our crawler reads your site and runs a fixed set of checks on your five priority pages; AI (Anthropic's Claude) selects the three issues most likely to move enquiries and writes each fix with exact wording; every fix is then checked automatically against the crawl, and any that fail are discarded. No person reviews the audit before you receive it. It is usually ready within the hour, on a private page. This page describes exactly what happens, with what data, and what stays out of scope.

What we check

The audit covers six areas. Not everything in each area — the areas that most often decide whether a small service site earns enquiries from search.

The six areas we check, and what specifically we look at in each
AreaSpecifically
Indexability Robots meta, canonical, robots.txt, sitemap coverage, status codes and redirects — whether each priority page can be crawled and indexed. Checked by our own crawler.
Titles, headings, metadata Do the <title> and H1 include the query the page ranks for? Are heading levels used semantically? Are meta descriptions unique per page? We inspect every page's source HTML, not just rendered output.
Content vs. intent Whether each priority page clearly states the service and location a customer searches for — in the title, description, main heading and opening copy — and whether the length fits what search results display.
Internal linking & depth Are your money pages within two clicks of the home page? Do supporting pages link up to them? Are there orphaned URLs? Checked by our own crawler.
Structured data Organization on the site-wide level. Service or Product schema where warranted. LocalBusiness where a physical business address exists. We check for accuracy — schema that describes things not visible on the page is a Google spam-policy risk and we remove it, not add to it.
Conversion friction on the money page One high-impact friction on the page enquiries land on: form that isn't working, phone in an image, contact details hidden behind three clicks, no visible availability. Ranking is only useful if the page converts.

Works with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and most site builders

The audit reads your public pages the way a search engine does, so it doesn't need access to your site. It works with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, GoDaddy and hand-built sites. Each fix says where the change is made — for example, the SEO title field in a WordPress plugin such as Yoast or Rank Math, or the page settings in Wix. If you were looking for WordPress SEO services to tell you what to change first, this is that list, without a retainer.

Two limits: sites whose content only appears after JavaScript runs can't be audited (the fit check tells you), and online shops are out of scope.

What we don't check

Named honestly, so you can decide whether we're the right service:

  • Off-site links / digital PR. A five-page site's ranking rarely turns on a link-building programme, but if it does you need a different service. We won't invent a link strategy inside a £99 audit.
  • Google Business Profile setup. We flag it if it's missing but we don't set it up for you — that requires access to your Google account, which we don't take.
  • E-commerce product data feeds. Merchant Center, product schema at scale, faceted-navigation control — these need a different audit.
  • Server logs. Useful for large sites, overkill for five pages.
  • PageSpeed field data (Core Web Vitals) if your site doesn't have enough traffic. We use lab data as a proxy, clearly labelled — we do not present a lab score as if it were field data.
  • Content behind a login. We can only audit what the search engines can see.
  • Anything not on the domain you gave us. Social profiles, YouTube, review platforms — outside scope, though we may note obvious wins there for free.

How the three fixes are chosen

The audit typically surfaces ten to twenty candidate issues. Choosing the three that will most likely move enquiries — not the three most technically alarming — is the judgement work. The selection follows this order:

  1. What is currently constraining enquiries? We start from the customer's stated goal at intake, not from a generic checklist.
  2. Which fixes match a query the page already earns impressions for? A change that helps an existing ranking is almost always higher-value than a change that hopes to earn a new one.
  3. Which fixes are implementable inside a small business? A great fix a customer can't do in the next month is worth less than a good fix they can do next Tuesday.
  4. Which fixes reduce friction on the money page? Ranking without conversion is not enquiries.
  5. Would we make this recommendation on our own site? If not, out.

The remaining candidates are appended to the report so nothing is hidden — see the sample audit for what that looks like.

Data we ask for at intake

Progressive intake — you can pause and come back. Everything is stored on our servers behind a customer-specific access token, not on your public site. We never take account passwords.

Data we ask for at intake, and why
WhatWhyRequired?

The fit check

Before you pay, our crawler checks your site can be read and fits the fixed scope. It takes about a minute. If the site does not fit — larger than the scope, content that only appears with JavaScript, blocked to crawlers, or behind a login — we tell you why and nothing is charged.

If the site passes, you go straight to secure checkout. The audit starts the moment you have paid.

What happens if we can't find three material issues

You receive whatever we found and a full refund, automatically, to the card you paid with. We never pad an audit to reach three.

The correction round

Every audit includes one correction round after delivery. If a ticket relies on a fact we got wrong — a service you don't offer, a claim we misread — write back within seven days and we rewrite the affected ticket. This is not a rewrite of the whole pack for a different opinion; it is a factual correction.

Data handling

  • Your reports live on private URLs, protected by an access token you receive by email. They carry noindex, are disallowed in robots.txt, and never appear in a sitemap.
  • We keep your intake, crawl output and report for twelve months from delivery, then delete. You can request deletion sooner in writing.
  • We do not use your data to train models. We do not resell it. If we ever want to feature your business as a case study, we ask first, and only publish anonymised material without written consent.
  • Data is stored in the United Kingdom. See the privacy policy for the full record.

What comes after the audit

Nothing, unless you want it. If you would like us to implement the fixes, we quote for that separately, at the time. If you would like an ongoing programme (site's growing, competitors are moving, you want to add pages), we can recommend one — or refer you to a specialist better suited to your stage. The pricing page is honest about what implementation costs.

One-line summary. A £99 AI audit, fixed in scope, that gives you three fact-checked, implementation-ready fixes for your five most important pages, usually within the hour — and refunds you in full if it can't find three. If that's what you want, start the intake. If it isn't, we'd rather you spend your £99 elsewhere.
